'Breaking Bad' scenarios staged in real life

It seems the Emmy-winning TV drama, Breaking Bad, has not only entertained the audience, but also inspired in some a new way to get rich.

A 35-year-old man surnamed Lu, who was once a secondary school teacher in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, this year started to make methamphetamine in a basement. He was arrested by police in September, Chinanews.com reported on Tuesday.

Lu became addicted to drugs after quitting his job in 2012. To feed his own habit and make a profit, he transformed himself into a chemist, producing drugs in a rented house in Nanning, Guangxi’s capital city, this year. His products were sold to drug addicts in the city via QQ, an instant messaging tool.

Following months of investigation, police arrested the Chinese Walter White on Sept 28 in his drug lab.
