Fall: Guo Boxiong
Guo Boxiong, former vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission, was expelled from the Communist Party of China (CPC) for taking bribes, according to a decision made at a meeting of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau on July 30, two days ahead of this year's Army Day.
The case shows the PLA's steely resolve to carry forward the fight against corruption within the army, said PLA Daily in a commentary.
