Soccer is more than a pastime - it's a way of life - in the country that will host next year's World Cup.
Escalating protests have put a question mark over next year's World Cup in Brazil. But the country remains the land of soccer. Poor youth play the sport on the streets, in wastelands, on beaches - any available surface becomes a soccer field in South America's largest nation.
