Teen feared drowned in river tragedy

The boy went missing after going swimming in the river, which is a newly filled water channel, in Zhongmou county. “There were two children, sharing a swimming ring, swimming next to me, and latter I heard someone shouting for help,” said Mr Li, a witness. At around 5:45 pm, more than 20 people set up a wall and held a thick string to look for the child, however, by 10:20 pm the child was still missing and search continued.
