Fishermen brought up the wreckage of an American fighter during World War II, attracting people from the village, Wangjiang county, East China's Anhui province, Oct 21, 2013. Portions of the plane's undercarriage, engine and fuselage were salvaged. "North American aviation" is clearly printed on a rubber gasket of the fuselage. And "Feb 15, 1943" is written on a brass nameplate of the wreckage. It may be a bomber of the Flying Tigers, an American Air Force fleet that helped China fight against Japan's invasion during World War II, according to historical data.
